 Karnak Temple Eighth Pylon Amenhotep Limestone Statues Ancient Egypt Photograph is located to the south of the main central area visited by most tourists. The site of this vast religious complex is near Luxor City centre on the East Bank of the River Nile and it the largest site on the Nile. This view is of the Eighth Pylon with its southern face dominated by six colossal figures from Amenhotep 1 to 11 although some are possibly relocated from an earlier pylon.
