 Argentina, Los Glaciares National Park: the Perito Moreno Glacier which covers an area of 250 sq.km. and is 30 km. long. The thickness of the ice is about 170 metres, of which approximately 74 metres is visible above the waters of Lago Argentino. Unlike most glaciers, Perito Moreno is not losing mass. Closer view of the crevasses in the leading edge.
