PMR-D2914 Bahrain, Manama: newly restored Qalat al-Bahrain Fortress, also known as the Portuguese Fortress, built in 6th century AD when the area was the centre of the Dilmun civilization. However recent archeological excavations reveal that the site has been occupied since 2300 BC at least. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2005.
