Ramasseum Pylon EG075185jhp 
 Ramasseum Pylon First Court Egypt Luxor Thebes West inner face, situated at this West Bank location of the Nile at Luxor is Ramses 11 mortuary temple glowing in the late afternoon sunlight and in these photos the remains of the enormous First Pylon, now badly ruined and with the gate blocked up to maintain some structural stability. These are taken from inside the first court looking at its north face with some standard Ramasses propaganda carvings of Battle of Kadesh scenes and to the SE side of the court are the remains of the colonnaded Palace where the Pharaoh would have stayed for the important Festivals and ceremonies he was bound to attend.
