 Saqqara Saqqarah Unas Wenis Step Djoser Zozer Pyramids ancient Egyptian on the southwest corner near the Step Pyramid and which was the smallest of the pyramids built belonged to Unas, the last King of the 5th Dynasty around 2345BC and is a considerable state of disrepair although some of the finer quality Tura limestone casing still remains. The inside is now not accessible but is one of the easiest to enter and entry by Gaston Maspero was financed by Thomas Cook & Co where a highly decorated burial chamber covered in Pyramid Texts was uncovered along with a huge basalt sarcophagus. This view looking to the nearest pyramid of Unas takes in the Step Pyramid of King Djoser beyond.
