Admin Links

Admin Links

Admin Links are a great way for you to outsource certain tasks to another person or company without them needing to have access to your account. Admin Links can be set to:

  • accept file uploads by a third party into a collection (uploader accepts nested collections)
  • edit keywords via our fullscreen editor (perfect for bib-tagging races), plus do one-off image deletes
  • edit filenames, captions, keywords, and perform one-off delete via our My Images SEO Editor
  • you can choose whether your worker has view-as-visitor rights to the files being worked on

After setting the options available for the Admin Link, a unique URL is created for you to send to the outworker which offers direct access to the collection Admin Link user interface. The outworker can edit or upload to the collection that generated the link and any lower-level sub-collections (ie. they can not navigate up — only down). You can optionally provide your worker with additional instructions or contact details via a textarea.

At any time you can revoke access from the outworker by deleting the Admin Link, and you can also pre-set a date to delete the Admin Link. A full changelog is also available showing all changes made within the collection.

Set up an Admin Link

  • Go to the collection (My Images, click the collection name).
  • Click the Access Rights tab. At the bottom of the page, click Admin Links.
  • Click to create a new Guest Upload Link or a new Keywording link. This will preset the options you are offering on the link however you can update these options at any time.
  • Enter any details and Click to create the Admin Link.

You can also send your outworker the following link to a PDF explaining how the Admin Links keyword tools work: AdminLinks.pdf
