Transfer a .com/.net/.org/.biz/.info/.mobi/.us domain
Transferring a .com .net .org .biz .info .mobi or .us (known as a Registrar Transfer) to Names.co.uk is relatively simple, provided that certain criteria are met.
A Registrar Transfer is a service for which Names.co.uk gets charged by the registrar. A nominal fee of £10+VAT is therefore charged for this service. However, each domain name that is successfully transferred automatically has 1 year added to the overall registration period for the domain. So, think of it as a two-fold process - 'consolidation and renewal' rolled into one.
The registrar transfer process usually takes between 4 and 10 days to complete, but please be aware that any problems that occur (e.g. the admin contact failing to authorise a transfer request on time etc...) can result in delays. For this reason, we strongly advise you to ensure that everything is in order with your current provider before beginning the transfer process.
Once the domain name has transferred to Names.co.uk and has been placed in your account, they will notify you by e-mail using the address we hold on your account.
