Burning, Dodging & Sponging.  (Selected as a Photoshop Tool)

 

Burning and Dodging all one to brighten or darken a selected area within the photo, Sponging saturates or de-saturates the selected area.

The Dodge tool lightens the area selected with repeated left mouse button clicks.

Brush - is the size of the area to be selected

The Range - dropdown list selects Shadows, Mid tones & Highlights.

Exposure - is the extent at which the tool is applied as a percentage.

The Burn tool darkens the area selected with repeated left mouse button clicks

The Sponge tool saturates colour or de-saturated colour within the selected area with repeated left mouse button clicks. 

Brush - is the size of the area to be selected.

The Mode – switches between Saturate and De-saturate.

Exposure - is the extent at which the tool is applied as a percentage.
