Course Achievements

Over the last 4 years, the course has made notable achievements both academically and with industry competitions. We are delighted to annouce that we have just been informed that our students have 'pulled off' a major success in the City & Guilds National Photographic Competition:

1st  - Andrew Simon L3
2nd - Kate Sawbridge L3
Runners Up - L3
Kate Sawbridge
Emma Mason
Runners Up - L1
Adrian Giernalcyzk
Kate Sawbridge

Last year Emma Mason achieved 2nd (L3). Other department competition successes include Tom Barnes - Winner of the Student Section of Professional Photographer of the Year 2010 and Shefali Chowdary & Matthew Christodoulou winning West Midland Student Photography of the Year 08/09 respectively.

At our last moderation,  City & Guilds stated - "The standard of the work produced by the students reflects the high standard of teaching on the scheme, the best work submitted demonstrated better visual literacy than is found on some Degree courses."

"The high standard of work indicates that students have access appropriate to equipment but the teaching clearly encourages and supports the student in 'push the boundaries'."
