NEWS

May 2010: So, the Icelandic Volcano appears to have stopped erupting this weekend (23.05) so this should lead to an undisrupted photography tour in that country next month.

May 2010: Yes! I have had a photograph reach the finals of the 2010 Wildlife Photographer of the Year. After the experience of last year I am even more keen this year!

April 2010: I have agreed to speak at the Winchester Discovery Centre. The talk will be called "An Accidental Wildlife Photographer" and will feature more landscape and travel photographs than the wildlife! This will be on July 20th, 7.30, Admission £5.

March 2010: I have agreed to run an extra photography holiday this year - Marrakesh and Essaouira, Morocco. Tour date October 15th, 7 nights.

Feb 2010: I have been invited to have a solo exhibition at the National Trust property at Mottisfont. This will be an opportunity for me to show a large number of photographs. The exhibition runs from July 31st - August 12th (except Fridays). Normal NT Admission prices apply.

Jan 2010: I've been invited to open the Wildlife Photographer of the Year touring exhibition at Moors Valley, Ringwood on January 15th. Please join me for my first ribbon-cutting duty - along with my photo lecture!

Oct 2009: I have just been to the Awards Gala evening at the Natural History Museum. It was a great evening and I thoroughly recommend the exhibition to anyone who can get there before April 12th. It's pretty amazing to see one of my own photographs displayed in such a great exhibition, not to mention in the glossy book.

Sept 2009: Great News! One of my photographs has been awarded Highly Commended in the Wildlife Photographer of the year Award. I have visited the exhibition in the Natural History Museum, London, several times over the last 20 years and I never thought I would have anything worth entering. One chance encounter with some Arctic terns in Iceland changed that!

August 2009: For 2010 I am running tours to 2 new locations; Kerala, India and Iceland. See www.authenticadventures.co.uk for full details.

May 2009: Two of my images featuring flying arctic terns have reached the finals of Veolia Wildlife Photographer of the Year Award.
