Inspecting blades of a gas turbine

2.3 About

I started the Leslie Garland Picture Library in 1985, because in those day the large picture libraries did not want the type of picture that I was interested in taking. So when you are looking for that hard to source image, I may just have it. Of course I also stock subject matter which can be found elsewhere, but I hope I have better pictures of it!

When I started the library it was the first general picture library in the north east of England and supplied pictures to many of this country's top-end book and magazine publishers. In the past few years I have shrunk the actual library, but many of pictures which were in it and taken by my previous contributors are still available on Alamy.

Leslie Garland Pictures is a personal venture and this web site features only my own work. Unfortunately, the site, which is hosted by Theimagefile, has its limitations. So if you are wanting full rights managed pricing then please click the link to Alamy on the home page. However, Alamy also has its limitations and, in spite of what it claims, does not accept all images, with the result that this site contains many more pictures than those available on Alamy. Oh for a day when the world is perfect!

For your information I qualified to:-
Associateship of the British Institute of Professional Photography (ABIPP) in Illustrative Photography, and
Associateship of the Royal Photographic Society (ARPS) in the Applied Category,
So I hope the standard of work contained within this collection is high.
