Wedding Frequently Asked Questions

* What is the style of photography that you offer?
I offer a photojournalistic approach to wedding photography often referred to as 'reportage'. This kind of photography involves no intervention, direction or any form of orchestration on our part. The only time I intervene is when the family groups are taken.

* How long do you take to do the formal photographs?
I will normally take 15 minutes minimum to set up the formal photographs based on the assumption that all friends and members of the family are present. I keep this time to a minimum so as to enable the bride and groom to enjoy the day with their families and friends.

* Are there any additional costs involved?
No. The cost of post processing of the digital images is fully included in the fee.

* Do you charge travel fees?
I travel to most UK locations. Mileage at 40 pence per mile will be charged for distance outside the 35 miles radius from Cambridge in Cambs. For venues in excess of 150 miles a 1 night hotel stay and for 400 miles a 2 nights hotel stay will be chargeable at £80 per night.

* We saw that you offer wedding albums, how does it work?
Packages including one 25 pages 12x12 Bellissimo album start at £1,795. This album will be made using pictures you choose. After I give you your wedding images, just communicate the pictures ID (around 120) using the proofing page put at your disposal in the Client Area, for the pictures that you would like to have in your album. Allow at least one and a half month following reception of your wedding images before I can send your album(s) back to you.

I also now offer Jorgensen traditional albums. Contact me for more info.

* Do you offer black and white photography at the wedding?
Yes, I can offer a mix of colour and black and white photographs. As the wedding is a colourful event, the ratio of colour to black and white will be higher in favour of colour. I may however, agree otherwise according to your preferences. Plus, this is the digital age, and post processing of colour pictures into monochrome ones is very common. Check the Wedding Gallery 03 for examples.

* How many photographs do I get?
It really depends on the wedding package that you choose. It will vary between 400 to 850+ photographs and will depend on the time that I am covering the wedding for.

* How long do you stay?
Depending on the chosen package, I offer from 5 to 12 hours continuous photographic coverage. However, my time at the wedding is calculated from the time I arrive till the time I leave, including ceremony, and reception/meal time. I can arrange to come back for an evening event, at an extra cost. In some circumstances, I am able to cover small events for a couple of hours, contact me about those.

* Can we book extra hours?
Yes. Additional hours are available at £170.

* How soon do we get the photographs after the wedding?
The wedding photographs are usually ready two to three weeks after the wedding.

* Do you supply 'proofs' photographs?
As I shoot your wedding in digital, I will provide you with high resolution files. But no prints. I will also put an online gallery at your disposal.

* How soon do I need to book?
It is best to book as soon as possible as I am often booked 12 to 16 months in advance.

* Can we meet you before booking?
Yes. You can arrange a meeting and see a portfolio at my premises, or at any venue of your choice. Evening appointments by special arrangements. Alternatively, you can book by calling me on 07811 512422.

* How do I secure the date?
A booking fee of £370 is required to reserve the date. As the fee reserves the date, it is non-refundable in the event of your cancellation. Cheques & bank transfers are accepted. I also now accept Paypal payments.

* Do you mount the photographs in the album?
Yes. I currently offer matted albums and pictures will be mounted in the Jorgensen albums.

I hope that I have answered your questions. If you have any other questions that have not been covered above, please give me a call on: 07811 512422
