Thank you for your support. The latest information is that the High Court challenge to the Surrey Waste Plan by the Capel Action Group was heard at the end of January. The oral judgement was a little unclear and there appears to be some confusion. The written judgement is due shortly. If the decision has gone against Surrey County Council and the Waste Plan is quashed, they would be unable to approve current incinerator planning applications. That outcome is far from certain however and the application is scheduled to go before the County Council planning committee on 18 March.
Individual letters need to be written to Hilary Herbert, the Planning Manager at Surrey County Council to arrive before that meeting.
